"Joy"

“ This week on the Fruit of The Spirit Series we'll be diving into what Joy is and means in the Gospel. Joy is something I know many have struggled with especially during these trying times that only seem to be filled with suffering and sorrows. As children of God we should be the joy in the world and show others God through us. Now this is not an easy task, to be joyful with every situation that has presented itself to us is very difficult. It is very easy to give in to the first feelings that pop up during any situation like anger and sadness but we must try to find some light within all that is dark. It says in Psalm 30:5 " For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes in the morning." During those times is when we will be able to help set examples of what a child of God is, by being joyous in the simplest things like waking up because of the grace God gives us. There might be people that are currently suffering but it is our job to bring joy into their lives any way we can. The way I see it there will always be a positive to combat the negative. Always remember that God's love is forever and He never leaves you. There is always something to be joyful for, the top reasons is God loves us no matter what."

Psalm 4:7 ESV

"7  You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound."

Psalm 5:11 ESV

" 11 But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you."

Psalm 71:23 ESV

" 23 My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16 ESV

" 16 Rejoice Always."
