Story Time

"Time"

This week I wanted to talk about time. I would like to start by using the verse Romans 8:18 (ESV) "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us." This is the first thing I wanted to focus on when talking about time, we often want things there and then not any later. We believe that we have earned, deserved or want something because of what we have done to try to achieve it. We often do forget that everything God has set out for is in HIS time not ours. He gives what we need when He knows we can apricate it, need it and cherish it. He does not do this to make you suffer longer in what ever you are going through He gives you what you need when it is most needed and in His timing. The second thing i would like to discus about regarding time is the often disregard of it. let me explain more, when wanting to do a task that we think might be minor like calling someone, praying, reading the Bible or seeing some one we say " I'll get to it later". We do not understand though the weight of that simple phrase, we think that time in a way is almost unlimited but it is not. So many things can cause you to miss out on those simple things by pushing further. You do not understand what you had until is is gone, you would then wish for those moments that you had disregarded it. God had given use so much time with one another, to do things we want to do, to accomplishing so many things or get to know Him and repent. We forget that time is so precocious and fragile that anything can disrupt it and change so many things. Stop waiting and pushing things to the side because you think you will have time later, don't. if you want to do something do it then, if you want to call a loved one do it know let them know you love them, if you want to see a loved one do it now you don't know the last time you will and lastly DON'T wait to have a relationship with God. He is always at the ready for you, don't wait to repent and get to know God or share His word.
