"Easter"

" I'm going to keep this really simple and about Easter. No not the bunny or the chocolate hunt but the real Easter and meaning behind the days of it. Jesus Christ died on that cross on Good Friday for you and me. He sacrificed Himself for all our sins past, present and future (Hebrews 9:22). Many have heard the verse John 3:16 " For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life". I do not think many of us have really understood the power that is in that verse. God gave up His only son for us to be given the choice to receive the free gift of eternal life. Most of us can not even give Him 5 minutes of our day to talk to Him and be with Him, we have 24 hours in 1 day but to give five minutes  seems like a hassle. HE DIED FOR US. His blood shed for OUR sins. He was then put in a tomb for 3 days and on the third day he rose from the grave. HE DEFEATED DEATH. (Mark 16:1-6)That is right Jesus died and resurrected 3 days later. By doing that He had forgiven us of our sins and we received grace.
