"Valentine's Day"

Today is Valentine's Day, so I thought what better time to talk about the unconditional love God has for all of us. This weeks devotional will be focused on love. Which is super important because God is love. 1 John 4:16 "So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. 18There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. 19We love because he first loved us." When thinking of love understand that care and affection is God. He call's us to love one another, to show Him through care and affection, through love as He has for us. John 3:16 “For  God so loved  the world,   that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not  perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." It is just so beautiful if you think about it, Jesus was a piece of God in human flesh birthed by Mary and went through everything we could have. He lived a Holy and righteous life and died to pay the price of all our wrong doings and the ones yet to come. All this to have a bond and relationship with God, so that we may have a chance at Heaven when judgment day comes.
